Academic Honesty
All work you submit must be your own. Do not copy from other students, books, videos or webpages without giving credit. If you use someone else’s ideas or words, you must cite your sources properly.
Cheating includes, but is not limited to, copying answers from other students and having someone else do your work.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
You may use AI tools like ChatGPT to help with your work. However, you must follow these rules:
What you can use AI to do:
- Brainstorm ideas
- Explain difficult concepts to yourself
- Check grammar and spelling
- Get help organizing your thoughts
- Help find relevant Bible verses
What you cannot do:
- Have AI write entire assignments for you
- Use AI to create fake personal experiences or stories
- Use AI to write personal statements that are not true
Writing Standards
All written work must meet basic quality standards:
- There is no excuse for spelling errors in modern times: use spell check on all documents
- We do not require any particular version of English (American, British, Australian, etc.)
- Always proofread your work before submitting
This applies to all students, regardless of your first language.
Respect for staff time: All faculty and staff are volunteers who donate their time to help you earn your degree 100% free. You must thoroughly proofread and edit your work before submission. It is disrespectful to submit documents for careful evaluation that you have not read carefully yourself.
Consequences
Breaking these rules may result in disciplinary action, including permanent expulsion from the university.
