Bold Christian University, an international free university, was founded in 1983 by Dr. Ludwig Otto in Texas, USA.

Dr. Otto served as Senior Pastor at five churches in North Texas and was an entrepreneur, publisher and author. He served as President of Bold Christian University from its founding in 1983 to his death in 2023.

BCU restarted in 2025 and continues offering Christian degrees 100% free with no cost for tuition, no cost for textbooks, and no cost to graduate.
